Park La Brea apartments DISASTER!

GARBAGE! Living here has been a complete nightmare.  I absolutely hate myself for moving here.  PLEASE if you have any sense at all, find another place.  I cannot stress enough, do not make the same mistake I did.  I do not have the time to go into everything that is wrong with this place, but if you can imagine it....well.       From the living conditions, (rats, a million bugs) to the office, this place really gets to you.  I am counting down the days until my lease ends and move FAR away from here.  Can't sleep, can't think. i dont even want to touch certain cupboard in my kitchen because they were COVERED in rat droppings. IMAGINE!  horrible people work here, (maintenance however is pretty cool, but) and you will truly hate yourself if you fall for it. goodnight, and goodluck. Worst mistake i made in my life! In my experiences, egregious were the lack of concern regarding tenant health vis-à-vis broken elevators, mold, insects, and rodents; and, abysmally appalling attitude toward customer service. In one instance the broiler in the unit never stayed on unless the oven door was open (no picnic in summertime). Service guy honestly shared the appliances are outdated and cheap, and unless the broiler was replaced, the situation would not improve. In another instance the laundry room credit machine short changed me $5. I was referred to a customer service number and ended up speaking to someone in another country. Honestly, it’s so bad, making stuff up is unnecessary. And, hey, don’t even think the return of your deposit is a sure thing. In my experience, PLB added erroneous fees to separate me from my credit. As an aside, two boxes were stolen when I moved in. As required by PLB for move-in, one of the two elevators was reserved, but only one was working at the time. So, the ‘reserved’ ...

We had no power in our apartment for almost a week because the management evicts tenants and fails to notify utility company. Then you move in and the power company things you are the same tenant with debt, just using a relative to restart power. We had a newborn brought to apartment the day before we lost power. Imagine this. They dont care because they have a legion of full-time lawyers. Seriously, stay away. Park La Brea apartments They constantly abuse our renters rights. Also not sure of this is legal but there is no hood for ventilation above our stove. There is a vent bit no turn on switch and when u hold a paper up to it its not suctioning AT ALL, same for bathrooms even the one w no window. There is also no wheelchair access to any of the buildings. We have CONSTANT issues w fires and alarms going off in the middle of the night. Very scary. Park La Brea management (  https://www.parklabrea.com   )does EVERYTHING to remove negative reviews from various platforms. This content was removed from Yelp on June 15 2018: Removed Content: Need to update my review because I cant stand lies.  If one of Yelp comments Director of Residential Services states: "My door is always open for you to contact me directly and I will be happy to make sure your home is a place you love!". It is absolute LIE! Starting from 10/03/2016 I been continuously trying to contact this gentleman VIA email, phone, and by visiting their office (I have all proves and records on file). I was supposed to move in Jan, but the apartment had not been cleaned and that the safety cover on the heat regulator was missing . Anyone HELP!  12/3/2017 We have had a rat infestation inside our home since October 29th.  The entire downstairs of our townhouse including the living room and kitchen is completely contaminated with rat poop, pee, and hair. The poop and pee is all over our dishes, counter tops, floor, couch, rug, stairs and food.  To top it off one of the rats must have died as well due to the terrible smell of death coming from the kitchen since Thanksgiving day.  I've been calling to complain and have went to the office several times yet they keep telling me "Kevin is in court and they can't help."  Maintenance and Terminex has came over to set traps and "look for holes/seal them up."  Yet we are still having this problem.  There are sticky traps and snap traps everywhere downstairs.  However, the rats keep getting stuck on the sticky traps and escaping.  Clearly none of this is working cause every morning we see new poop and pee that we have to cle...
